We worked with Lenny to lay out the design of our basement and we couldn't be happier with the end result. I don’t know if I can say enough positive things about Lenny’s Home Improvement. We have hired Lenny and his team for three projects over the past three years: two bathroom renovations and a drywall repair. Our home is small and we never thought we could turn a tiny upstairs powder room into a full fledged bath. Lenny has a professional eye that we simply don’t. He was able to take some space from one of our bedrooms and add a full shower. The upstairs full bath is now one of our favorite features of our 100 year old home. Our next project for Len was a drywall repair in our finished basement. A leak from our kitchen destroyed a 6’x7’ swath of wall below. Len repaired the drywall in three days time. When he was finished it looked as if nothing had ever happened. His professional drywall skills are simply top tier. We then hired Lenny to completely renovate our sad, very 1980s, first floor full bath. His team tore the room down to the studs, replaced and reinforced any questionable framing, installed all new tile in the bath and on the floor, updated all the plumbing and electric and installed all new drywall and ceiling. Rudy, Len’s painter, did a wonderful job with the colors we chose. His lines and edge work are crisp and clean. It is a truly professional paint job. A great aspect of working with Len is the input we were able to give. We chose the floor tile for both baths, and the sink and vanity on the first floor. Any idea we had, he was able to accomplish it. He really takes his time to make sure every aspect of the job is perfect. Cost: I feel Lenny’s Home Improvement charges fair market value. We’re not talking Bath Fitter here. None of his materials are prefabricated. All of Len’s team are professionals. The plumbing, electric, tile, dry wall and paint are all at a very high standard. You are truly getting what you pay for with Len. Time of Job: It took Len and his team three to four weeks per bath. They worked everyday day, but not on weekends, which was nice. We got to be home on Sundays without the hustle and bustle of workers in and out. It was a real treat to come home everyday and see what had been accomplished in each room. And then, before we knew it, the job was complete and we had a beautiful new bath. Every experience we’ve had working with Lenny’s Home improvement has been positive. We will be hiring them again for sure. Note: we were perfectly comfortable with Len working in our house while weren’t home. We used Lenny to finish our basement last year and were very pleased with the overall experience and the finished project. He was very communicative from the planning phase through execution. This included giving us a clear sense of the overall project cost, including any potential upgrades we might consider. The project was completed in the timeframe we’d discussed, with no surprises on costs. Lenny was also very thoughtful for smaller details that have later proved very helpful; for instance, moving a couple of valves to outdoor faucets to a more accessible location, installing access panels near areas that may require servicing in the future (e.g. for plumbing), etc. The crew members that assisted Lenny were very friendly, personable, and courteous as well. Lenny was regularly onsite throughout the project and made himself available for any questions/ potential concerns, which we appreciated given our experiences with certain other contractors for major project work. A few months after the basement was finished, we noticed one of the doors wouldn’t open/ close very easily; Lenny took the time to replace the hardware & resolve the issue at no additional cost, further proving he stands behind the work he performs. Lenny took over our basement finishing job that was abandoned by a greedy unprofessional contractor. Many contractors would not step in to take such a job - but Lenny inquired around about what went on with the previous contractor and after his due diligence, accepted to finish the job more so as a gesture to prove not all contractors are mean and greedy. Boy did he do a wonderful job! He even made changes to the original floor plan without breaking our overall budget and added some nice surprises.
